Guest Corner Submission Guidelines and Conditions
These guidelines set out the requirements and preferences of Scenic Sensations for article and gallery submissions by readers of this site. Please read and observe these guidelines when submitting entries to us for consideration for inclusion on our site.
Articles and gallery submissions will be reviewed by the editor of this web site and any decision as to acceptance of and suitability for publication on our site is that of the editor.
Credit for all published submissions will be given at the beginning and end of each article or gallery. However, no compensation will be paid in any manner whatsoever. In respect of this, all rights to the material will remain with the person (or persons) making the submission. However, making the submission to Scenic Sensations will be acknowledgement of granting full publication rights, including making editorial changes, to Scenic Sensations and those responsible for this site.
In addition, upon submission to Scenic Sensations, you also agree that Scenic Sensations and its editors will not be held responsible for any unauthorized copying, reproduction and use of the material submitted. Scenic Sensations will not be liable for any damages, direct or consequential caused by your material, text or images, being published on this site.
You also state and acknowledge that any submissions are the sole legal property of the submitter and that you have full legal and copyright rights to the materials for publication without compensation of any kind from Scenic Sensations.
Scenic Sensations will protect the rights of the original copyright holder for any materials in the event that any legal actions are brought forward in connection with the publication of materials on Scenic Sensations.
Any materials submitted to Scenic Sensations will be retained by us and will not be returned to the submitter, regardless of whether the material is subsequently published or not.
Materials submitted must be to our specifications in order to be considered for publication.
Articles must consist of text comprising 1,000 to 2,500 words with a minimum of three photographs and a maximum of five photographs. The accompanying photographs must be formatted to 72 pixels per inch with the long side of each image being 500 pixels in length. Physical size of each image file is not to exceed 75 kilobytes in digital image file (jpeg) format only.
Galleries must consist of a minimum of 4 photographs and a maximum of 8 photographs, must generally tell a cohesive story and must have accompanying text providing details of the circumstances surrounding the rational for the photographs. The captions for each photograph must be at least 15 words in length and not exceed 100 words. Both individual captions and story narrative must comprise the submission. Each photograph submitted must be sized to 72 pixels per inch with the long side being 500 pixels in length. The physical size of each image file is not to exceed 75 kilobytes in digital image file (jpeg) format only.
Subject matter must be one of nature, scenic, landscape, flora or fauna, macro, adventure or travel photography, digital image manipulation, printing or scanning or otherwise be directly related to the general subject matter of this site. Submitters will be informed within 4 weeks of their submission of our decision to publish or not for any given submission.
For all photographs submitted, please do not embed watermarks or other copyright claims in the image file. Please do not embed frames, drop shadows or other edge treatments to the image.
All submissions must be via email to guest@scenicsensations.com with any given email not to exceed one megabyte. If the combination of images and text will exceed this size, please separate into several emails appropriately labeled as part one of x, part two of x, etc..
